Fractional Skin Resurfacing for Multiple Skin Conditions - and Minimal Downtime

Many dermatological and cosmetic skin conditions can be improved with fractional laser skin resurfacing. Only Palomar® gives you a fractional skin resurfacing system to treat all these conditions quickly and cost-effectively.

Fractional laser skin resurfacing with Palomar maximizes client aesthetic outcomes while minimizing procedure risk and reducing downtime. It's the smart approach to skin resurfacing that uses microbeams to create areas of treated tissue surrounded by untreated tissue, which provides faster healing and reduced side effects.

We invented and patented micro-fractional laser technology. Our technology is the perfect choice for the treatment of wrinkles, acne and surgical scars, melasma, striae, unwanted textural irregularities, crow's feet, blotchy skin and more, on virtually any trouble spot on the body - face, neck, chest, arms, legs.

Invest in a skin resurfacing laser platform with Palomar and get unlimited revenue potential with the following techniques:

Fractional Non-Ablative Skin Resurfacing: A simple treatment approach that promotes skin coagulation without requiring costly preparation and cleanup, yet delivers excellent aesthetic results with minimal redness or swelling.

Fractional Ablative Skin Resurfacing: Deep skin resurfacing that lets you control ablation depths for single-procedure outcomes that get people back to their regular activity in as little as two days. The results rival those of fractional CO2 laser treatment, with fewer complications, less pain and faster recovery.

Combination Fractional Ablative & Fractional Non-Ablative Skin Resurfacing: Palomar has received the first FDA clearance for skin resurfacing procedures using a combination of ablative and non-ablative fractional lasers. Palomar's combination treatments offer a same-day approach to allow the tailoring of depth, coagulation, and ablation to an individual's needs - helping to maximize treatment outcomes while minimizing downtime.

How Fractional Skin Resurfacing Works

Fractional skin resurfacing with Palomar uses laser energy microbeams to create areas of affected tissue that extend through the epidermis into the dermis. These areas can be either "non-ablative" (the laser beams coagulate the affected tissue) or "ablative" (the laser beams vaporize the affected tissue).

Non-ablative procedures are minimal to no downtime procedures, while ablative procedures provide a single treatment option.  The body's natural healing process creates new, healthy tissue to replace the areas of affected tissue, resulting in healthier, younger-looking skin.

Palomar's new ablative technology, the Groove™ Optic, creates a unique, grooved line injury pattern on skin that increases ablative tissue coverage while preserving the benefits of fractional column approaches.

Skin Resurfacing - Lux2940 Groove
The Lux2940 Groove Optic creates a unique grooved injury pattern on the skin, which preserves portions of healthy tissue surrounding the treatment zones so clients can receive high ablative coverage with minimal downtime.

Skin Resurfacing - Lux1540
While keeping the stratum corneum in place, the Lux1540 uses high-precision microbeams to create narrow, deep columns of tissue coagulation in the epidermis and dermis.

Benefits for Clients:

Non-Ablative Skin Resurfacing  Ablative Skin Resurfacing
  • Excellent outcomes with minimal treatment time
  • Minimal to no pain during procedure
  • Minimized redness or swelling
  •  Less risk of scarring, infection or long-term pigmentation change versus CO2 resurfacing
  • Consistent long-term results

Benefits for Practitioners:

Non-Ablative Skin Resurfacing  Ablative Skin Resurfacing
  • No topical anesthesia required
  • Rapid treatments (treat a full face or entire chest in about 12 minutes)
  • Stratum corneum remains in place, eliminating open wound issues and allowing for rapid healing
  • Advanced technology prevents unnecessary heat accumulation
  • User-controlled ablation depths for customized outcomes
  • Three pulse modalities
  • Unique groove pattern for high coverage
  • No nerve blocks required
  • One treatment, rather than multiple treatments, which are required for non-ablative resurfacing
  • Erbium wavelength provides greater thermal control versus CO2
